Wondering about music licensing. I want to use original artists music when I teach. Can you explain your policy?
I'm definitely interested in this topic. As a new virtual studio owner, I've been researching the correct way to use music in my classes, and it seems that EVEN with royalty free music, the PPL license they offer isn't allowed for use with live streaming that has a shelf-life (is being recorded for future on-demand use). My big hangup with committing to Salut as my "platform of choice" over Zoom or Insta Live, is that videos ARE being recorded and archived for later use (to monetize). Is there a way to turn this option OFF for trainers not interested in recording/archiving videos at the outset?
For reference, I've included Power Music's Virtual Class Terms of Service -

For the time being, it is up to you to comply with relevant music rights and licensing laws. There are many royalty-free playlists on Spotify that you can feel free to use. Like this one, for example: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6VMwP791exsm7MkbBK26Bx
