1. "What do you hope to accomplish by working with me?" In other words, what questions do you ask to understand your clients goals and how do those answers inform your programming.
2. "Results will probably take longer than you think.” As industry professionals, we know that it’s not necessarily about how quickly you experience results, but instead it’s about maintaining consistency and then setting new goals in order to avoid plateauing.
3. "I don’t know, but I’ll find out.” There’s no way you can possibly know everything. It’s okay to be honest with your clients by telling them you don’t know the answer in that moment, but then return to them with a well researched answer.
Overall, open, honest and consistent communication is key and sets the foundation for building a strong relationship with your community.
